On March 25, 2026 we opened the public beta of LingoDesk, Lingwen's LLM-native translator workbench. It is the second product in the Domain Workbench line, following IRWorks.
LingoDesk's design goal is to end the daily shuffle between Trados, MemoQ, ChatGPT and Excel glossaries. One desktop workbench covers translation memory, terminology, style guides, LLM rewriting and final review.
The main difference from a traditional CAT tool is that LingoDesk is LLM-native — not a classic CAT architecture with a Translate-with-AI button bolted on, but segmentation, TM recall, term injection, style guarding and rewriting-suggestion pipelines redesigned around the LLM from the ground up.
For freelance translators and smaller LSPs, LingoDesk supports local inference backends such as Ollama and LM Studio. Projects and terminology assets stay entirely on the local machine — especially important for confidential work.
The beta is free. It ships full workflow support for English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean, with other languages enabled on request. We read every piece of feedback from beta users.
